The Penguins’ first week in action after the All-Star break was full of promise, with the Pens riding a 7 game winning streak and Malkin and Neal both wielding a hot hand on the scoresheet. The week featured a home and home series with the then 9th place Toronto Maple Leafs (Leaves?), and Saturday and Sunday matinee contests against the defending Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins and division rival New Jersey Devils.
